Captain (Res.) Shimon G. Levy is an entrepreneur and the Principal of SGL Acquisitions and LR Partners, boutique consulting and investment groups. SGL’s investments are diverse but primarily anchored in real estate syndications, focusing on multifamily and new developments while LR is a partnership oriented to empowering ventures by taking an active role in their growth and strategy. Shimon previously founded the student led initiative (merged into iTrek in 2015), was a principal at Secret Sauce Capital, managing partner of Northend Capital (was acquired in 2018), COO of the global organizations Kids Kicking Cancer (2021) and Milwaukee Jewish Federation (2023), where he remains an involved partner and consultant. His most recent venture helped secure federal relief funds to thousands of entities.
He is an avid community advocate, working and volunteering locally and globally to support Jewish community, fight anti-Semitism and change the discourse around Israel. Shimon is a proud graduate of the University of Haifa, Reichman University (formerly IDC Herzliya), INSEAD and Kellogg Executive Education and Harvard Kennedy School Master of Public Policy program where he was fortunate to represent his class as the 2014 commencement speaker. Being the recipient of numerous awards and recognition, Shimon’s true passions are spending time with his toddler boy Eli, baby girl Eden and wife Jennie. When he’s not spending time with family, Shimon enjoys renovating (while complaining) his 1925 German Tudor, people, traveling, and big ideas that impact.
